Hi,
I have a noise from speaker (ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ) when ever someone turn on the heater shower (like this Instant Water Heater Shower
I open the amp up and the toroidal transformers (CD player, DAC and Amp) are giving a hum noise when every that happen.
When the heater shower is off , it will be back to normal.
Is there a way to overcome this?
Thanks.

Suppose the heater takes power from the line asymetrically, that would leave a DC component on the mains. Torodial transformers do not like this and will buzz, partly due to having no gap in the core and a high flux density. Lots of folks use a DC line filter to prevent this. Search the forum for the circuit. There are other appliances that can cause this to happen, microwave ovens for one, & powerful SMPS circuits can also contaminate a local mains circuit.
After some search, found a few circuit that can be done pretty quick and I have parts for it http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/powe...buzzing-toroid-transformers-what-right-8.html post 80
I done up 4 caps (10000uf 16v) with a bridge rectifier, connect it to the power inlet to the amp. It didn't works, noise is still there when heater is on. I will order some parts to try the next one.
