Cyrus PSX diy - Advice needed

hey there,
I have a Cyrus 2 + PSX in daily use......
The PSX should, as far as i know, produce +/- 40v.
BE AWARE that if this 'diy psx' does produce the above, you cant just plug it into the amp - there are two fuses that need to be removed from inside the amp. These de-couple the on-board ps leaving it dedicated to power the 'pre-amp' section (the C2 still needs to be hooked up to the mains) and the PSX powers the 'power-amp' section.
I refer you to this thread: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/79759-cyrus-2-a.html ,plenty of info for the Cyrus 1/2
Expect the '2 to sound slightly 'darker' with the PSX, I'd also advise to leave the '2 powered up permanently (switch off the PSX though), it dont do it any harm and its always part ways to being warmed up....... enjoy :)

Thanks for the answers....

I do not know how old is this PSX, but I think that it is not older than 10 years, so I guess the caps are still ok...here is a pix of the Cyrus Two power supply. Couldn't find a Psx schematics, but I read on the net that it is pretty similar to the Two power supply section...

@sippy
Unfortunately, the psx is still in the UK, and now is "parked" in London at a friend's house. Actually he is not a teckie...just a record collector, so I cannot measure the voltage at the moment. As soon as I will have the unit I will do it, but I do not know when I will be able to get the PSX.
I know the Cyrus Two/one thread by heart, because I'm using now a Cyrus One, which was recapped by me, following the advices found on that thread...
What I am most concerned of is the trafo of this diy PSX. I searched the net to find some info about the brand, but with no luck. I do not know either which is the trafo voltage...no sign on it. Do you know by chance what type of trafo is it...here you can find all the info that I have...

Made in UK...can you help me?
Regards.

The brand is ILP.

I think they were taken over by an Irish transformer company.

ILP were the cheap end of the transformer market.
The advantage is that copper was used more freely, so good regulation is available.

A "proper" audio grade transformer will bring with it some advantages. But expect to pay upto double the price of the lower end of the current market.

Toroidy supplies cheap high quality audio grade transformers.
I have two for a balanced F5. They measure well.

Hi again Andrew,
thanks a lot for the info! They still have a website, but no sign of the transformer inside my PSX. I will send them an email, hope they have some info.
Thanks again.

images of the PSX service manual

I have the complete factory service manual, obtained from Mission in 1989.

I shot large JPEG for best detail, did not crop or edit for time...
