That sounds like an idea.
Now the only thing is it's an El not a Toro. Here is a picture of one PT with one secondary unwound to 18.6v. It appears that each secondary is two layers thick, so the halfway point would be at the sides. I could try to snip the secondaries in half on the untouched PT or get some new magnet wire, strip and rewire the secondaries on the one I have hacked into. |

OK so I will do something with these later on but I have decided to go with plan "B".
I will do something with your advice so it is not wasted! I made an offer earlier on 2 of those slim transformers and it was accepted. So now I have two transformers coming that are 2x25v 160VA for a total of ~320VA for a stereo pair. He has a few more if anyone is interested.
