Hi all hope ya all had a good christmas, back to clearing a space and messing around.....
I have a small toroid I want to wire up as a quick use power supply. Its got 2x 115v or single 230v, being in the UK I need the 230v.. The website for the toroid shows wiring as brown and violet to make 1st 115v input and blue and grey as 2nd 115v input... It shows only brown and blue for 230v. Do I tie off the other 2 wires and just connect the 2 for 230v. |

Connect the violet and grey together and tape it up and tie it away

Taping up the V & Gr pair leaves the two standard colours for Live = brn, Neutral = Blu
But !!!!!!!!! build up a bulb tester and use that to test your newly wired up transformer.
