I am designing this power supply with the specs: 9V, 3A and current limit kicks in at 2.7Amps. Schematic is attached. I managed to get quite sharp at the output voltage and current limiting but I cannot adjust the current that passes through the regulator. When current limit kicks in, the current through the regulator just stays at 0.85Amps. How can I set is to 0.5Amps at all times? Can you suggest maybe better configurations of the transistors?
