Right now I have a wall wart that came with my Fiio D3 DAC. It is 5 volt and with a max output of 500ma.
Wouldn't it sound much better to use a regulated 5v power supply versus a wall wart? Can anyone recommend a good audio quality 5v power supply that I can buy pre built.. or perhaps a board that I can slip into a custom enclosure? Input would be 120V AC. |

If the supplied wall wart were really really crappy and the D3 DAC had a bad power supply rejection ratio, perhaps it might sound better. Not sure if it would be much, though, given its $30 price tag...
