Audiotek Cutie mini regulator

3 Attachment(s)
I finally found my original paperwork that came with the kit from Audiotek.
Hope that those of you who got stranded with a kit without documentation
will have use of this, since it seems impossiple to connect to diyzone to fetch it.:)

:)I have build it in the 15v version, and with 16-0-16v ac it gives +14,99 -15,02v out. Haven`t tested it with load yet, I have to heatsink the transistors first. So far it seems ok

Both 15 and 18 volt versions work well unless shorted to the case :-( A 15-0-15 transformer allows it to run at 18 volts without overheating. Am curious what the ideal ac-0-ac would be for 15 volts.

Yea! Not much information on the ideal vdrop.
What do you mean by "Shorting to the case"?

My plan is to use it for a preamp. Linestage + Phonostage. Not a blue smoke generator:D

Wolfsin 8th November 2011 01:07 PM

My plan did not include blue smoke. That was aside effect of trying to fit it into a tiny case. I think I have replaced the damaged components but have not had the courage to "fire it up"

Regarding ideal ac-in for dc-out of 15v does depend on transformer sag and load current so I guess it izHard to fault diyzone\'s prescience. Perhaps another user running, say, 250ma on each rail, might advise.

Feeling courageous. No smoke :D

A rose iza rose . . .

A somewhat later version of the cutie, a.k.a. qmini, qtmini, gold reference and doubtless other names, is still in production. The hints on current and voltage adjustments might prove useful.
