stop and think.

A dual primary transformer has two primaries.
What are the ratings of your two primaries?

Do you have a datasheet for the traffo? It's likely made for 110 or 220 VAC, parallel or series respectively. For US 110V you'd want the primaries in parallel and in phase. "Wire all the legs (4of them) together then connect one of them" doesn't really make any sense.

i have 2 that are similar to that same wiring.

what i meant by stick them together is run them in parallel.

i was pretty much just meaning to say that is it any different when wiring two transformers instead of just one.

There should be a pretty picture with description of which wires go where. Ask whoever you bought it from for the wiring diagram and people will figure it out.

Yes, all 4 primaries would be connected in parallel. Use the diagram from the datasheet.

start with just one transformer.
Attach ONE primary to the mains. Power it up through the bulb tester. Did the bulb go OFF?

If correctly wired, then measure the voltages of the other windings. The other primary should have exactly the same voltage as the mains supply.
Disconnect from the mains.
Add the second primary to the first pair of connections. Power up via the bulb tester. Is it OK. Test the voltages. disconnect from the mains
Do you see the pattern developing?
Now add the third primary TEST. Add the fourth Primary TEST.

This way you have no damaging blow ups.
You have no blown fuses.
You have not had to go and reset the mains MCB.
You have survived what is potentially a very dangerous learning experience.

Attach ONE primary to the mains... If correctly wired...
And if it's incorrectly wired, stick to battery-powered DC.

The web has lots of information on mains transformers. However, this is one of the areas of DIY where mistakes can be expensive and, sometimes, fatal. If you are not sure, don't do it. Use a lamp limiter.
