Default Meanwell SCN-800 Parallel operation?

http://www.meanwell.com/search/scn-800/scn-800-spec.pdf

does anyone have any experience with these?

I have four of the 20volt version (not listed in the PDF) which I want to use to charge a 16volt battery bank.

plan is to connect them all in parallel, set to ~19volts to charge the 16volt bank.

now, using the SMPS internal regulation, and the internal "V-Adj" control, with the "Par" connection made between the 4 powersupplies, will I have to adjust them all? or just one control?

what does the "par" (parallel) connection even do? how is it any different to just connecting the output from the PSUs in parallel?

thanks!

The PDF is not clear on the operation of the "V-Adj" in parallel mode, but the 'par' connection would be involved in the regulation of the output, which keeps variations in the output voltages from burning up each other, or burning up the wires feeding the load if there is a significant difference in resistance.
I would personally use the remote sensing configuration to eliminate that as a possibility, but the 'par' cinfugration should be sufficient.
Just curious, what type of batteries are you planning to charge that need or withstand 120A of charging current?

whatever needs charging

not mine, but a friends, I bought the powersupplies because they were cheap.

don't need to run all four powersupplies, but could also set them to the batteries float voltage, just to keep them trickle charged while testing car stereos.
