I have two Hifimediy T2 amps and each can take 22V AC. Will I be able to use 1 400VA transformer to power both at the same time? Or do I need to have an individual 200VA trafo for each? The single 400VA is cheaper than two trafos and also smaller footprint.

One will work, I am using amps with one transformer supplying two channels right now. As long as it has enough current capacity, it's all good.

Look outside at the power pole. All the appliances in your house (and probably your neighbors') are running off that one transformer. Current capacity is what matters, like Mike says. |
