Hi guys. Sorry to open this old thread but I had some boards and parts and need a psu for an opamp based ESP active crossover. I expect it to draw a bit under 100 mA. Do I need to load the 1.1 more to make it stable?

Set the 1.1 CCS at 250mA for that load.

Thanks Buddy. So if I use 4 green 2,1 Vf leds (=8,4 V) and VGS over the fet is say 4,7 V over 250ish mA that leaves 3,7 for R101. That means I could start with a 15 ohm and some hooked up variable resistor in parallell to work my way down/up to 250 mA. Does that make sense?

Or would it be preferable to go with 3 leds and lesser voltage to drop over R101 and choose a smaller value?

15 Ohm is a handy easy to find value so why not. Makes sense. Four Leds shine more impressively than three after all
