Default 12v Regulator

Can someone please suggest a circuit to give me a constant 12v DC (at about 2A), output from a supply which varies between 9 & 18v. (Not AC)

Tony

If you really need to operate from 9 to 18 volts, you need a buck boost regulator. Search Linear Technology - Home Page for a suitable switching regulator.
