I was looking at modifying my DAC board (see schematic attached) with some spare components I have and thought I'd start with the power supply.

Currently there are four dc sections; 5v, 5v, 6.3v and 230V (tube i/v stage), each of which is sourced from the mains transformer with four diodes per section (16 in total).

The low voltages have 2200uF capacitors (three in total) after the diodes, whilst the high voltage has a 150uF capacitor.

I have some ex-stock Nichicon "LS" series capacitors sitting around that might prove to be of use here; 22,000uF (25v) and 470uF (400v) - is there any drawback to increasing the capacitance to this level?
