If a Class D amplifier runs off split rails centred on 0V (eg -24V, 0V, +24V) then to which voltage rail is the associated control circuitry for the amplifier referenced…..is it to the 0V rail or the +24V rail.?

Typically it is the -24V for the gate-driver. But depends on the actual design.

Is anything referenced to the centre tap (i.e. 0V rail)?
