22Vac+22Vac @ 2.4Aac+2.4Aac is equivalent to an output rating of 105.6VA
Thanks Andrew. How many watts would I need for those resistors?

transformer heating is different with a resistor load, than with a rectifier....
no need to go there.....
listening to music, you will not be consuming more than 30 watts or else
you ears may hurt due to the loud sound coming from your speakers....

there is no reason to overthink your traffo, the fact that you were able to rewind your toroid is proof enough for me that you know what you are doing.....

so my advice to you is, just go ahead and do it....

Each will be taking ~53W so they will get very hot. Try 100W with good ventilation.

Tony's Line conditioner finished.....230V primary to 230 volt secondary
rated for 1500VA, has a low power winding good for about 200 watts
to use on low power such as test equipment....

to all masters
i want to build a traffo for my APEX500 since i cannot find traffo in our area that has correct va rating, since commercial traffo indicates false VA (in our area).
first Q - will 55-0-55 be enough for b500? how many amperes?
all i have found in the market was EI core with CL 1 1/2" and CL-3"
i bought about 1.5"x5" inches coz 3"CL has the height of 6.75"more or less and the price is 300% higher.
may i ask the specs for the primary and secondary windings?
vis-a-vis t/v and primary and secondary turns.
thank
regards...

1.5"x5" inches will give you about 1500 volt amperes
so that 2 x 55 windings will give you 8 amperes....
still good for your intended project....
this as far as i go....
you have to study on your own about the winding details,
enough information are available on the net.....
