Is this transformer okay?

I have a ~170va IE core transformer. At no load it is drawing .220a. After leaving it connected for an hour it is 105 Deg F, so it is warm but not hot. It is a split bobbin and I have unwound the secondary with plans to rewind it for the voltage I need.

Checking the current waveform, I see peaks, as if it is saturating. Not sure why this would be happening. (?)

0.22 A * 120 V = 26 VA. That's way too much loss. I bet it is saturating as you say.
