Default Simon Series Shunt Regulator

Here's a pic without the heatsinks installed. This is from AX June 2007 -- the only mod is that instead of 7920/7820 preregulators I used 337/317s which I had in hand. I used some polyester caps as I could only find one 10uF PP in my junkbox.

Do let me know how you like it. Remember too much capacitance on the output is a bad thing.
