The actual SMPS circuit is not that complicated, the problem is making the transformer.
I am now designing a prototype for cca 750W on ETD44 core, so after I finish I will post some guidelines etc.

Thanks for helping !
i only need 400W SMPS , think i might be able to get 50v+- from one ?
I might go commercial if need be ...

You can get any voltage you want, but you etiher have to wind your own transformer or find a company that can do it for you.

I went there , the site a lil bit terrible , no images , probably because of coding error or something .

However

I built this SMPS long time ago, using IR2153D

There is NO protection with this SMPS, Either turn on delay for IR2153D

But i made those on external PCBs, While this SMPS working already without them, but they are needed,

You can find them on the internet, or some one here can give them to you

If you are interested, I can send you files

It was based on ER39 Transformer, with 1000W RMS output power.

For a packaged solution priced in euros, look at audiopower.it. They have DPS-600 (watts) and DPS-500 in exactly the voltages you want. An engineer posted a thread here, showing -85 db noise charts.

How does it cope with such a small heatsink ? i have a old 200W useless PSU and the heatsinks are nowhere small ... in fact , all parts are near SMD .
And what is attached to the second heatsink ( the finned one , right side ) there ?

Do you want to build it yourself or do you want it ready-made? In the latter case, have a look at SPS30 at www.coldamp.com
We can tailor to the voltage you need.
