Are hexfred bridges worthwhile in tube amps? I am asking because I have used them to good effect in solid state circuits but not in tubes. Anyone have any experience and/or recommendations for both input and output stages in tube amps. (in this case there are separate transformers and power supplies for the two sections. Thanks

Give it a shot and tell us how it worked out.

Yes. They work well , but you may want 1200 volt Crees if it's for 550 VDC or higher.

We tried it on ASL Hurricanes (8-kt88s each) No discernable difference. The power supply does use cap input of 800ufd followed by a huge choke then 800uf more of cap. I suspect it is so well filtered that any difference offered by the Hexfreds is limited. The Crees may be a different story. My pocketbook says wait a while on the Crees. Thanks
