to double 12V to approx 24V .18V is also ok , so no need for regulation and very low current will be good also.
i'm looking to do that with low parts count and cant find any ic that will do this simple task. most charge pump ic's does not include the diodes for voltage doubler , and they work only for low voltage (around 3-6V) any ideas? thanks guys .

the ICL7660 works from 12 V, needs diodes for positive doubling

LM386, couple 1N4148's, resistors and capacitors... RadioShack stuff...

i was hoping that there is some ic that includes the diodes and all i need is external caps.
anyway ,i guess that 555timer is the cheapest solution and almost the same parts count.

really low current - a few 10 uA can be had from SS relay mosfet gate driver PV diode stack optoisolators - insanely low efficiency too
