Hi all,
to save space in my chassis it seems mounting my 4 smallish toroidal transformers to the sides will work nicely. I have considered filling the holes with epoxy and find that this is generally acceptable in posts here and elsewhere. My question: is there any difference or benefit to using "potting compound"? I'm guessing there is little difference except in price, any comments? thanks, gary |

Price, price, price... Use the cheapest one. This is assuming that the potting compound in question is a hard epoxy. Obviously, the elastormeric potting componds won't cut it in this appplication.
