In need of a duel supply to power several TL074's at +12/0/-12
then need to power a cd4066 bi lateral switch as well as 10 lm3916's with led displays so 2-3 amps at 9v needed. have schematic but it just dosn't look right? Thinking of powering the cd4066 from the duel 12v supply but ?? 18v transformer may be too much or ?? |

compare your hi current 9V supply to what is shown on the regulator datasheet.

Schematic in post #2 has several serious errors that I can see. 2N3055 is NPN, the LM337 is backwards. Neither LM3X7 has the correct wiring to the ADJ pin, R3 and R4 are potentially transposed.

I corrected errors etc.
The R1 and R4 are supposed to be 120ohm while R2 and R3 (I need to correct) are 600ohm labeled Q1 correctly Took out several caps hope this is all correct |

Howdy!
The LM317 has the wrong pin out on you scheme - Pins: 1-in, 2-adj, 3-out. The LM337 has the wrong pin out on you scheme - Pins: 1-adj, 2-in, 3-out. The LM337 is still backwards. You are shorting the adjust pins of both regulators to ground. C11 and C12 are not needed if the LM7809 is within 4 inches of the main filter caps. |

hopefully corrected all my errors.
The 7.5+v side has more current draw than the 7.5-v side thus a smaller cap. This should work if I am lucky been working mostly off over the last 2 years on this Eq/ Spectrum analyzer 4 stereo inputs 5 bands per channel 10 lm3916 display drivers w/10 leds per the bandpass filters are using a TILT filter design. Been cleaning up schematics and pc boards. Might just actually build this monster by summer? |
