For my Aleph amplifier I am considering using a commercial mains filter like the one attached below. Is this a good idea or will it be detrimental to the amplifier? I am curious about the possibility of creating a resonant circuit with the transformer or something. Any advice would be great.

The best way is to run a filtered power strip and not a filter on each individual equipment. This ensures that each component has the same earth potential and thus less likelihood of ground loops. The effect is small and only comes into effect at RF, but if you are striving for perfection then that's the best way.
