I'm trying to make a pwersupply for my laptop. This have to be 12vdc input as I'm going to use it from my car and 19vdc 5A output.
I wish to build up this powersupply because if I use an invertor it has to be at least 350watts as the current of the powersupply of the laptop are 1.5A maximun from the 240vac I wish to build this powersupply as I think it could drain less power from the car battery. I don't know if this could drain less or the same as the invertor. |

look up for N-channel's DC-DC, which is 12 to 19v and about 5A (laptop)
more stuff you have in series to get what you need, more power you will need for same output (each device has less then 100% eff., less of devices, higher total eff. will be) |
