Hi guys!
Can anyone clear about voltage rating of diode? I want to make bridge rectifier using Vishay's 60EPU02, it seems that this one is very good for audio and also I can grab these for a pretty good price, but I doubt in one parameter - voltage rating of this diode is only 200, is it still ok for my psu? or I need more 400 or 600? I will use 50-0-50 500VA transformer with C filter. Thanks to all! MD

200 volts is perfectly fine. Your transformer is 2x 50v AC RMS thus 141.4 volts peak. That's still quite a bit under 200v.
If your trafo were 2x 70v or higher it would require 400v diodes, but like it is now you'll be fine.

Thank you! I also thought so, but it seems that diode will work at its limit, because, if I understanding right, 200V is a peak rating of diode, but its RMS voltage will be 200*0.7=140, so seems it will work just near the limit.
