Hi
In the near future I'm building an external PSU for my DIY TT. I'ts going to be the geddon clone type, and it will be feeding 3 motors (type Rega, Airpax, Philips etc.)
Now I have disected my old Citation Twenty Four power amp, and found a massive toroid with absolutely no info on it.
It has 3 wires in (220V alt. 240V) and 10 wires out. As shown in the picture, I just hoocked everything up, plugged it in, and measured all the different output voltages. It would seem I have the whole range from appr. 9V to appr. 101V.
Question: Can I just go ahead and build the Geddon clone, and take the voltage most apropriate to feed my motors??
Secondly, can I tap other voltages i would need for other "thingies" from the same toroid?
Please explain as to a complete newbie
