why do i have a hunch that if there are erased ic's they can be either SG3525, or TL494 as smps controllers, MC4013 for the high voltage inverter stage, and some LM339, LM324 as OP-amp, comparators for various functions.
do you have some pictures ? it might be helpful to identify them easily. in the meantime just take the datasheet of the above ic's and try to indentify them looking after the GND, Vcc pins and then inputs, outputs, etc.
