Default 83mF Capacitor...Tripath smoothing

Hi chaps,

I found one of these while perusing around Chinatown the other day and the only other place I've seen such monstrous things is back in college, in the lab power supplies. 83000uF/40V. And the size of a beer can!

Now, I've ordered a Tripath amp (SA-36) and its associated power supply. I figured I couldn't've built a 5A/12V PSU for <$15, so no harm buying that one even IF the output caps are piddly. I think this'll aid any ripple!

Anyone else had experience with such caps?
