a free but not working Stabylex 12 VDC power supply to any one

A free but not working Stabylex 12 volt power supply to any one who cares to pay the shipping.
This is a Stablyex 12 volt/40 amp.continuous/55 ICS power supply. It is old and has a direct ac short when its plugged in. I don't have the know how to try a repair so it might be something simple. I can send some pictures if any one is interested.
It looks like it was a good quality power supply for its day and I would hate to throw it away.

Is the output adjustable? I could use it but won't pay shipping on such a heavy item. But on the off chance you are local, where is it?

the output is fixed at 13.8 V DC

We are not exactly close; I'm in Los Angeles. I could repair that but it's not practical to pay shipping.
