I am wondering on the convention for wiring up the primaries on a dual secondary transformer.
In my case I am using an Antek 3218. The wires are as follows red red black black ~~~~~~~~~~~ Blue Green Blue Green Is there a convention that says for parallel wiring, Black always goes to hot and red always to neutral? I have built a few amps/preamps with dual secondaries and have done exactly this. I have not experienced problems...just wondering if there is a best practice to determine which of the primary windings go to hot and neutral - if there is one. |

Usually hot goes to red as a convention.
Just dont connect the primaries or secondaries out of phase ! It will blow the fuse.
