I'm putting together a psu for a boz type preamp. The input to the board has two 18vac ports followed by a bridge rectifier, caps, etc. Does it make any difference if I use a center tap as opposed to dual secondary transformer? When does it make a difference?

As long as your board has only one rectifier bridge, there is no difference.
Dual secondaries allow the use of two bridges. Single or dual bridge and why? Dual Bridge Rectifiers in PSU - why? Last edited by bobodioulasso; 14th February 2010 at 08:33 PM. |
