does anyone know where i can find a good dual poled switch with 240V 10A ratings for my mains switch in my amplifier.

Have you tried altronics or jaycar?

yeah ive looked all over those but they rarely give enough information as to wether its dual pole or not and im stumped by what it means when it says
DPDT and SPDT.

DPDT = dual pole double throw
SPDT = single pole double throw

I buy the all-in-one power inlet at Jaycar.It has computer style socket,fuse,and switch.It is double pole single throw which breaks both live and neutral-$7.
