Default Power supply

i recently bought a transformer, expecting it to be Centre tapped, however when it arrived it was not. the schematic i have retrieved and decided to use for bulding a power amplifier requires it to be centre tapped.
i bought the M2158 from Dick Smith Electronics
Transformer 0-24V @ 3A (M2158) | Dick Smith Online Store
is there a simple way to use this transformer or is it just easier to buy a new toroidal transformer 80VA 18-0-18.

If the core isn't welded, remove it, unwind the secondary (count the turns) and add a centre tap. I've done this a couple of times. Half wave isn't ideal for power amps; ripple is going to be much worse than with a full-wave supply. It's a useful cheat, though, for low power stuff, like a preamp, if it's followed by regulators. Then you can use an AC wall-wart since those are dirt cheap.
