I have build the crescendo about 15 years ago, i havent used it very much because the transformer is humming very loud as the amplifier is about 2 min in use. I have used an Amplimo 1200VA ring core transformer.
Has anyone a similar experience, and what to do about it? |

That sounds like a bad GND wiring scheme. Somewhere you might have a GND-loop which causes this phenomena.
Disconnect all inputs and short them to GND. Is the hum still present/audible? Then it's in your amplifier. Post pictures from inside and make a detailed scheme on how you have wired the GND-cables. Then we might be able to help you. |
