I'm reverse engineering the power supply out of a 50w halogen lamp in order to modify the power supply for other uses. The design is practically identical to the ones I have found online except it has a 0.22uF ceramic capacitor parallel to the output. What is that for? Is it part of a resonant circuit?
I already looked at that. The one I have is almost identical except it has that capacitor parallel to the output.
Probably to remove power supply noise.
