G'day guys,
I need some help finding a quality regulated power supply for a Tripath TA2020 amplifier please. I'm looking for a pre-built module, not a DIY kit or PCB at this stage. The requirement is 15VDC & 3.5amps, and my budget (not including transformer) is $100. Many thanks for your assistance. |

Should be available, no problem.
I opened the mouser.com catalog and on the first page I checked I saw 15V/4A for $31.74 USD for qty 1, not including AC input cord. It's an AULT Medical AC adapter, Mouser part number 675-MW174KB1503F01, and has 100-240VAC universal input, and "regulated output with low ripple". You could also look at mouser.com part numbers 826-DPS54 and 826-DPS54-M, which might be a little better, for around $60USD and $66USD. And, depending on your size and mounting requirements, among other things, there are many others, such as 709-LPS75-15, 709-S60-15, 709-RS75-15, and 709-RPS60-15 (all around $40 USD qty 1) and even 709-PS65-15 for $24.20 USD qty 1. And there are many others, there, of both linear and switching types. Almost all of the 15V ones that go to less than about 5 amps are under $100 USD. Sorry, I don't know the exchange rate to AUS$. Anyway, surely some supplier that is closer to you will have similar or better pricing on similar power supplies. Tom |
