Default 12v Vibrator Test

I have some 12v automotive radio vibrators that I would like to test.
There are 3 terminals on each. What is the correct way to test
these vibrators? Which terminal is 12v? Which terminals are the switches?
Can these be tested with a power supply and voltmeter?
These are mechanical vibrators, not solid state.
Thanks.................

Convert them to solid state. Find out the operating frequency and build a simple circuit that uses two MOSFETs and a simple oscillator as a replacement.
