Default buz103Al or IRFZ46N for smps car audio

Hi guys

I found an old smps in a blaupunkt car amplifier with output voltage +27 0 -27 Volts.

I would like to tweak to have a better power supply:

I already change the old capacitors at primary and secondary:
was: 4x 470uf for primary
now: 4x 1000uf

was: 2x3300uf for secondary
now: 2x10000uf

I also change the two rectifier diodes by 1 C2522 and 1 C2526 support more output current:

But i would like to change the four mos-fet Buz103Al with four IRFZ46N because the ouput current is better for the IRFZ46N mosfet

Do you think it's a good idea?

But before any change on the power supply i found a resistor very hot i don't know why it's strange

This is a photos of my power supply with resistor who are hot.
Is it a resistor to compensate the temperature?

ps: for you américan do you think my english is very bad or it's ok
Sorry for this stupid question

Thanks for your help

Hi

Nobody can help me please?

For the moment the first problem is the resistor who is hot but the power supply works good

If you have an idea about the heat release by the resistor ??

Thanks a lot in advance

The resistors look like 3-5 watt units and can get pretty warm without issue, and since they have not turned brown, they are most likely within spec. As for the IRFZ's, Fosgate uses them in quite a few of their car amps.

So i'm not obliged to change the resistor ?

For the IRFZ i'll mount it on the power supply

Thanks
