It's on the build guide on page 6.

It could be....

Here --- look for this. Maybe you should download again. Salas has updated.

R102,202,302 270R. R106,206,306 270R/27R. 270R for MOSFET output. 27R for BJT output. 1/4W
R108,208.308 47R 1/4W
R104,204,304,107,207,307 1R 1/4W
For R103,203,303 1/4W resistors & R105,205,305 Trimmer Bourns 3296Y style, read appendix 1

Hi All,

When I connect 3 (5 volt) Sallas regs from one 12 volt Transformer I blow up a diode on the minus side, see attachment.

2 Sallas regs works fine but when I connect the third one to the DDDAC receiver board (only the 5 volt Sallas reg for the 74VHC4040M) it goose wrong.

Now I connect the 2 Sallas regs to 1 transformer everything is working fine.
I connect another 12 volt Transformer to the 5 volt Sallas reg B on the DDDAC receiver board and now are all 3 Sallas regs working.

Can someone tell me why are 3 Sallas regs NOT working with 1 Transformer?
I must connect 9 Sallas regs on 1 Transformer for the DDDAC also for the DAC towers.

Regards,
Rudy
Edit: 12 volt 500 VA Transformer the right one is for the DAC.

Too low an impedance created and too hard a current pulse for a small diode maybe. Is it a big enough transformer also?

The diodes blow up are 1N4007 now I use 1N4004 and that works fine.
The Transformer I use on the picture are without diodes
I must connect 9 Sallas regs on 1 Transformer.

2off 8.4V 800mA (DAC Tower à 12xTDA1543)
3off 5V 80mA (Receiver board)
2off
3.5V 80mA (DAC Tower à 74VHC125N)
2off 3.3V 80mA (à VDD1 USB Receiver & DAC PCM2707PJT; 74HC08) (à VDD2 Tent XO Clock 12Mhz)

Here you have a PDF file: http://www.dddac.de/files/dddac1543mk2ver50.pdf

Regards,
Rudy

back again

today i have replaced my transformer and experimented an 12 volts Pb acid accumalator with my Salas low shunt regulator V1.0 (5v) which powers up my M-Audio Transit usb soundcard.what i remarked is a more articulated sound.why there is audible difference between those two 12 volt supplies ? or should it be ?

thanks

ps : i like the sound with the accumulator the most

Your Pb DC source is naturally smoother and non polluted than off wall rectified AC.

wondering what the difference would be in my jfet mm preamp?
i hope to get another two Pb accumulators(or to make an dc-dc converter(12v-30v)) and then i`ll give it a try.
