I was thinking about a power supply for a car audio amp using a 3886 (or similar) the other day and wondered if it is possible to use 2 separate controllers for each rail rather than a traditional smps.
On one side would be a boost switcher and the other would use an inverting controller. 1) Will this work 2) How stupid is this? |
