I was contemplating on buying one of the two books listed below. Both are available here.
Has anyone seen both books and can they recommend any one of them. I am sure both are good but which would be more practical (?) ......easier to use ! Switch-Mode Power Supplies Spice Simulations an... by Christophe P. Basso or Switching Power Supplies A to Z by Sanjaya Maniktala Thanks. Ashok.

I ask this because someone on this forum said that he liked the way Sanjaya Maniktala wrote his book.
So if his book is also very 'practically' oriented it might be a slightly better buy . Under better circumstances I'd have bought both books !

Ashok -- I just got the book via Amazon -- it get's into the maths quite quickly. Dr. Riddley wrote the forward to the book which is quite a good endorsement for me. I don't know your budget, but I think it was a worthwhile purchase and should sit up there with the tome by Pressman et. al.

Thanks for your comment. I had already bought the Basso book last year. So I guess I have a budget to buy the Maniktala book this year !
