Any SMPS gurus here?
Here's what I want to accomplish: AC Line in ---> smps w/galvanic isolation--->~120vdc out (that can be anything between ~90vdc and ~130vdc (the low end is actually better). Regulation need not be terribly tight, but I need >500watt power level, up to 1000 watt is better. Simple, efficient, and fairly easy to get the HF hash filtered out are important considerations. No problems to use an off-the-shelf chip solution or combo of standard building blocks. Can probably wind/build a suitable core/transformer (probably). Any ideas, directions, schemes would be appreciated so that I don't have to go and become an "instant expert" and make all sorts of basic mistakes... I haven't even seen a brick that does this, which is part of why I am considering building one for my application. Help!! _-_-bear

TI parts search recommends the UCC3580 according to the your requirements. It says it's good for up to 800W. Maybe something worth looking at.
