V x A still means W , at least in my neck o' wood

use 800VA for 10 stereo 6V6 preamps

Dont you love DIY excess. I cant remember what I have now. Got a wonderful EI, but it is 230AC, duh. I could always just run a line. What VA is extravagant for duals? Also, I have read that EI is better for pre stuff, with doughnuts being best for power amps. Opinion?

EI have bobbins for each coil when toroid has them one upon another so it shows more capacitance. Because toroid is the more efficient and lighter per VA its best home is power amp.

200mA HV secondary for 6V6 pre duals is royally plenty. Then its whatever the rectifier heater and 6V6 heater has to draw. 100VA total should be much relaxed and plenty to do its stuff.
