Default HV SMPS for tube preamp

Hi everyone.

I'm buildning a new tube based pre-amplifier and I would like to use a SMPS as the power source.

I have read some articles around the net on designing SMPS powersupply, and it dosen't seem to be the easiest thing to do so I'm woundering if this has already been done by someone here or some design that woulden't be to hard to modify.

I'm planning to put the PSU in a seperate cabinet, and I would need +300V around 300mA and +/-20V around 4A.

Any ideas on this?

/Johan Ch

Johan,

Check out the 28 JUL 2004 issue of Silicon Chip magazine. A regulated high-voltage tube power supply made from an old AT/ATX power supply.......
