what's the difference between uc3846, uc2846 and uc1846..?
is there any difference? |

From the datasheet, the UC1846 has a temperature range of -55 - 125°C, UC2846 -40 - 85°C and the UC3846 0 - 70°C.
The UC1846 and UC2846 have Identical characteristics other wise, and the UC3846 has some "relaxed" values. (basically the UC3846 is cheaper and made for consumer market.) |

Joe,
Expanding on Fry's comments: 1846 = Military-Grade IC - REAL Expensive. Undergoes exhaustive testing each unit. 2846 = Industrial-Grade IC - Moderately expensive. Extensive testing, though not as strict as MIL-spec. 3846 = Consumer-Grade IC - cheap. See Fry's comments. Steve

yeah kind of how 74xx logic series is consumer grade
and 54xx logic series is mil-spec |
