Default tube rectifier psu help

i am leaning about building psu. i just successfully build solid state rectified psu that i attached below.

in my learning stage, i am curious about the tube rectifier. can someone help me build it? i have played around with psud2 which i got roughly the idea. i attached the print screen

question:
does this tube rectifed psu will give out different flavour to the music, i mean in my case of powering DAC.

in psud i use 6AU4 full wave. any other recommended tube?

can someone draw up or have some schematic that i can use?

my requirement is to power a DAC which draw around 300mA and can take voltage between 24v to 36v

thanks,
Erwin

For this application, a tube rectifier isn't a good choice.

What now? 36V or 250V?

Are you aware of the lethal voltage and to you know, how to handle it without risk?

The choice of the rectifier tube is depending on the max current you need.

oxoxbyx, thx for the input. EZ81 will capable to deliver the voltage and current i needed for the cathode follower and preamp i am planning to build. planning using 25H choke. nice

any good component source in indonesia? jkt?

Hi Franz

yep. i also later found out that 36v is not suitable to be powered tube rectifier as tube tends to give out less current

the EZ81 is for 190v to be exact. for this application i would be using max 40-50mA. as 4x6t4 is roughly draw 40mA.

think 6x4 will be capable of. but wondering if there is any sound quality different in quite revealing systems using bigger tubes such as EZ81 or 5AR4. thx for the inputs.
