Default Dual LowSide gate Driver Current Doubling

Quick question:

Are there any issues by joining both channels of a dual low-side gate driver to double current output?

I'm not familiar with the driver you are using, however, you will have some shoot through current because the switching times of the two sections will not be identical. The shoot through current could be very large and possibly overheat the driver if the switching frequency is high.

Use independent gate resistors or ferrite beads on each output to avoid strong cross-conduction due to slight differences in propagation delays. I'm doing that with IR4427 without problem.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if small delay imbalances would have any ramifications.

Use of independent gate resistors or ferrite beads on each output will protect shoot through current but the delay imbalance due to difference in propagation delay will hamper the proper functioning of the circuit in the long run.
Thank you TechGuy for interesting and thought provoking idea.
