Default High current TL431?

The max 100mA current makes TL431 useless to my application. Is there a higher current version of TL431? Or can a external transistor be used?

Thx.

Use an external transistor. I think there is even a schematic for this in the TL431 datasheet.

The answer is yes. Have you checked the datasheet? I'll recommend that you take a look at the end of it.

yes.
correct, amc184
for high current applications we use one Pass Transistor
with the TL431

Thanks guys. I did look at the datasheet before, but I guess I was blind.
