I don't know anything about SMPS design, but is there anyway I can learn a rudimentary amount of knowledge to learn how to do the different voltage conversions?

Hi
If it is ready made, it could be simple as removing one bridge wire between input rectifier and main caps, that bridge enables 110v operation, without it 220v. |

Thanks for the help, I will have to take a closer look at the circuit to see if it is possible on it.

If the SMPS is built for 110V operation without and option for upgrading, its difficult to change the input voltage range.
you will have to change the MOSFET, Input filter components. Even change the transformer windings for better efficiency. |

jtkraj is absolutely right. In SMPS, all the parameters are tightly calculated and applied and hence changing any parameter may not give optimum result if upgrading modalities are not included. Even it may hamper proper functioning.
Thanks.
