Common mode choke as boost inductor

Consider that 1mH is the common mode inductance, and that it will saturate at a very low current. The leakage inductance (differential mode) is much lower, like 5uH to 50uH only, and it's air based so it won't saturate but it will produce an undesirably strong leakage flux. You need a dedicated boost inductor.

Just to confirm, actually im not very sure the L1 in the circuit attached is a common mode choke or a boost inductor. please advise.
